Jakarta, August 2024 – Jakarta State University (UNJ) continues to strengthen its role in community empowerment through Community Service Program (PkM) activities which focus on developing the entrepreneurial spirit of the younger generation. This program is being implemented by a team of UNJ lecturers and students in Indramayu Regency from March to August 2024.

This activity is designed to foster an entrepreneurial spirit while providing practical experience for participants in managing productive businesses. One of the real results of this program is the construction of a Hydroponic House, which is used to cultivate food plants such as chilies and bitter melon.

This program is not only oriented towards technical cultivation training, but also equips participants with managerial and marketing skills to be able to create independent economic opportunities based on modern agricultural innovation.

Through an educational and collaborative approach, UNJ strives to provide sustainable social impact by integrating academic activities and community empowerment. This activity is a concrete form of UNJ's commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the field of community service, as well as supporting local economic development in the Indramayu area.

With this program, UNJ hopes to produce young entrepreneurs who are creative, competitive, and able to make a positive contribution to improving the welfare of society.
