Jakarta State University (UNJ) through the Directorate of Innovation and Downstreaming, Information Systems and Ranking received a visit from PT IMEDIN on Friday, March 13 2026. The meeting which took place in the Meeting Room of the Directorate of Innovation and Downstreaming was aimed at holding discussions as well as asking for input regarding the development of the Research and Development (R&D) program as well as product innovations being developed by the company.

The visit from PT IMEDIN was led by Faroman Avisena, S.E., B.B.A. with the company team. Meanwhile, from UNJ, the meeting was attended by the innovation team consisting of Prof. Dr. Setia Budi, M.Sc., Ressy Dwitias Sari, S.T., M.TI., and Taryudi, Ph.D. The discussion took place technically and constructively with a focus on developing effective, innovative and sustainable technology.

In the presentation session, PT IMEDIN presented a number of medical device products that are currently being developed. This presentation is a means to introduce the company's technology as well as open up opportunities for research collaboration with innovators and researchers within UNJ.

Responding to this presentation, Prof. Dr. Setia Budi, M.Sc. provide a number of technical inputs related to technological development on the products presented. He highlighted several important aspects that need to be considered so that the system being developed can operate optimally and have long-term resilience. According to him, aspects of efficiency, technological reliability and sustainability are important factors in the process of downstreaming innovation so that it can provide real benefits for society.

Through this meeting, PT IMEDIN hopes that the medical device products they develop can be more widely known by academics and researchers at UNJ. It is hoped that this will open up opportunities for collaboration in research development, technology testing, and further innovation in the field of health technology.

This meeting was also the first step in strengthening synergy between industry and universities. It is hoped that this collaboration will be able to encourage the development of applied research, accelerate the downstream process of innovation, and increase the use of technology that has a direct impact on society's needs.
