Jakarta - Jakarta State University (UNJ) continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating an inclusive and friendly campus environment for all, including people with disabilities. Various facilities have been provided to ensure that all academic community members can access campus areas easily and comfortably.

One of the concrete efforts made by UNJ is the provision of special wheelchair paths at various strategic points on campus. This path is designed to facilitate the mobility of students and visitors with physical disabilities. In addition, ramps are also available at the entrances of the main buildings to replace stairs that are difficult for wheelchair users to access.

UNJ has also equipped several buildings with elevators that can be used by people with disabilities, making access to the upper floors easier. Not only that, special disability toilets are also provided with a more spacious and safe design.

In supporting the needs of students with visual impairments, this campus provides guiding blocks or guide paths that assist navigation in certain areas. Some academic services are also starting to adopt a more inclusive system, such as the use of digital materials that can be accessed with screen readers.

The university authorities stated that the development of these facilities will continue to be carried out gradually. The goal is to ensure that every individual, without exception, has equal access to higher education.

With the availability of these various facilities, UNJ hopes to become an example of an inclusive campus in Indonesia, as well as to create a fair and equal learning environment for all.
