Yogyakarta, 9 December 2025 – Jakarta State University (UNJ) also enlivened the 2025 Global Innovation & Future Technology Summit (GIFTS), a prestigious event organized by Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS). The event with the theme "Sustainable Technology for Future Earth" took place at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Center (GIK) on 4 to 5 December 2025.

As an exhibition participant, UNJ demonstrated its commitment to developing sustainable innovation by bringing four superior startup products to be exhibited. The four innovations on display and in the spotlight of visitors are the work of UNJ students, are: Fashion Study, DiGi Class, Rantangin and Unition.

GIFTS 2025 is a strategic forum that presents a variety of activities, including the Innovation Exhibition. UNJ was part of 43 selected industrial and startup partners who showcased their innovative products and services relevant to sustainability.

UNJ's presence at GIFTS 2025 was represented by a delegation team consisting of various campus elements, showing the synergy between leaders, lecturers and students in encouraging the innovation ecosystem, namely: Dr. R.A. Murti Kusuma W, S.IP., M.Si. Director of Innovation, Downstreaming, Information Systems and Ranking; Taryudi, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. Head of Sub-Directorate for Innovation and Downstreaming; Muhammad Galang Putra Santoso, Student from the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program, FEB; Muhamad Habib Alfin Nurahman, Student in the Mechanical Engineering Education Undergraduate Study Program, FT.

According to Dr. R.A. Murti Kusuma W, UNJ's participation in this international event is a strategic step to promote campus research and innovation results, as well as open opportunities for collaboration with other industrial and academic partners. "Through GIFTS 2025, we hope that innovation from UNJ, especially these four superior startups, can be seen by a wide audience, attract investors, and ultimately be able to make a real contribution in realizing sustainable technology for the future of the earth," he said.

The success of this exhibition confirms UNJ's position as an educational institution that not only focuses on teaching, but is also active in creating and delivering innovations that have a positive impact on society and the environment.
