Jakarta, 7 November 2024 - Jakarta State University (UNJ) continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting sustainable environmental management, especially in small island areas. Through community assistance activities on Pari Island, Seribu Islands by geography study program lecturers. UNJ seeks to respond to the problem of low public awareness of environmental conservation as part of sustainable tourism development.

This activity focuses on preparing maps of the distribution of mangrove and coral reef ecosystems as a strategic step in efforts to conserve coastal resources. This assistance not only strengthens the capacity of local communities in maintaining ecological balance, but also increases social resilience and environmental awareness.

With this program, UNJ hopes to encourage the growth of collaboration between universities, local governments and communities in developing environmental management models that are oriented towards social welfare and improving the quality of life of coastal communities in a sustainable manner.
